This course covers the basic principles associated with heat transfer and the movement of energy, including the effects of changes in temperature, pressure, and volume on physical systems. Specifically, students will examine the role of boilers and condensers in the production and transfer of energy, vapor power cycles, Rankine cycle, and lays foundation principles that apply to power plant operation. Prerequisite: MA 14083 Intermediate Algebra.
