The student shall develop an ability to do Shielded Metal Arc welding safely and pass tests that meet the specifications set forth in the American Welding Society's Structural Welding Code. The student should become proficient at welding Complete Joint Penetration V Groove welds in the 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G positions. Prerequisite: WE 17094 SMAW STRUCTURAL WELDING (PARTIAL JOINT PENETRATION)
