This course covers a broad range of topics with emphasis on competencies required in the employment setting. Students practice listening, speaking and writing techniques useful in finding, applying for, and getting a job. The course includes an introduction to human relations, verbal and non verbal communication, contemporary employee rights, substance abuse, team building, and self growth. This course is taught only at the Burdette Center.
