Introduces students to crime scene technology, procedures for sketching and diagramming crime scenes, and using casting materials. Surveys the concepts of forensic chemistry, fingerprint classification/identification and other latent techniques, drug identification, hair and fiber analysis, death investigation techniques, thin layer chromatography methods and examination of arson materials. Students may be assigned laboratory times as well.
