Three engine management systems are covered in this course: computer controlled devices, fuel and ignition systems, and driving ability and emissions. An understanding of the operation of these systems is essential to the successful maintenance and repair of most vehicles. Driveability describes the maintenance of a vehicle's performance. The technician must understand the complex network of electronic components that control the performance characteristics of the vehicle.
