3 cr, 3 lec, W, G Logic is the systematic study of arguments. This course has a dual emphasis: (1) informal logic and (2) formal logic. Informal logic is concerned with fallacies as they occur in everyday discourse. Formal logic attempts to grasp the underlying mathematical structure of reason.
