3 cr, 3 lec Focuses on the broad area of family violence, to include child, spouse, elderly, and sibling abuse. Family violence is discussed from perspectives of socially learned behavior and historical influence. Potential abusers and their victims are profiled in a way that facilitates identification of at-risk individuals. Preventative techniques of family violence are identified and discussed.
