24 cr, 19 lec, 10 lab Intensive study of concepts and practical skills necessary for certification as an entry-level firefighter. Successful completion allows the student to sit for the Firefighter I and II certification examination conducted by the Office of the Arizona State Fire Marshall. PRE: CPT reading score of 65 or higher COREQ: the following are required: 1) High School Diploma or GED 2) Minimum age requirement of 18 years 3) Meet the medical requirements of NFPA 1582 4) Complete a liability waiver 5) Meet the minimum physical fitness requirements 6) Certification in the State of Arizona as an EMT-B or equivalent as determined by the Academy Coordinator 7) Permission of Coordinator
