3 cr, 2 lec, 4 lab A first or review course to teach the basic drawing skills needed for painting and 3 dimensional arts as well as advanced drawing. Line, value, and composition are covered, as well as exercises in imagination and idea development. This course is a required foundation course for art majors and minors and is a prerequisite for upper division courses at most four-year colleges and universities.
