Enables the student to explain the concept of negotiability, analyze the concept of holder-in-due-course status, define and explain the nature of the letter of credit, describe the nature of primary and secondary contractual liability on an instrument, identify the issues related to secured transactions and discuss the legal issues related to bank collections and check losses.
