CEU Course. This course is designed to develop a baseline awareness of drugs and their effects on the human body. It will give baseline knowledge of alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, hallucinogens, and methamphetamines. Students will focus on the fundamentals of drug classifications; physical symptoms that each drug can imply on the human body; long-term effects of drugs on the body; and dangers of addiction and overdose. A brief lab experience will be conducted to explore the process of identifying individuals that are under the influence of drugs.
