Continues the written and aural processes studied in Music Theory II and extends the study into more complex chromatic harmonic structures and styles. These include secondary dominants, altered, and borrowed. Neapolitan, and augmented sixth chords, higher numbered chords, and advanced modulations. Furthers the study of musical forms to include the fugue, sonata form, and variation technique. Prerequisite: MUS 103. Co-requisite: MUS 220 and MUS 240.
