This course will acquaint the student with the process of client management in the field of addiction counseling. The course will demonstrate how to provide case management services in a variety of settings and in a variety of areas. The intent is to provide instruction for students seeking to be professional addiction counselors. This course is designed to assist the student in preparing to meet minimum standards for AAPS licensed treatment facilities in the State of Kansas and the requirements for Registered Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Counselor through the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. Prerequisites: APS 101 and APS 102 or consent of instructor.
