This course builds upon previous instruction and provides additional opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet the needs of individuals throughout the lifespan in a safe, legal, and ethical manner using the nursing process. Students manage and provide collaborative care to clients who are experiencing selected alterations in cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological systems. Additional instruction is provided for selected mental health disorders, selected emergencies, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and related disorders. Teaching/learning concepts, advanced dosage calculations, nutrition, pharmacology, communication, cultural, and community concepts are integrated throughout this course. Prerequisites: As required by program. (4-0-6)
