This course provides opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet the needs of individuals throughout the lifespan in a safe, legal, and ethical manner using the nursing process. Students manage and provide collaborative care to clients who are experiencing selected alterations in gastrointestinal, reproductive, sensory, and endocrine systems. Additional instruction is provided for oncology, mental health, teaching/learning concepts, and advanced dosage calculations. Nutrition, pharmacology, communication, cultural, and community concepts are integrated. Prerequisites: As required by program. (3-0-6)
