Beginning with prehistory, this class surveys the history, culture, value structure, and social patterns of the Plains Indians. The historical relationship between the white man and the Plains Indians is explored as well as Native American involvement in major events in U.S. history, such as the Civil and World wars. Native Americans in their present conditions and status in American society are studied.
