3 Credits (2 Lectures, 3 Labs) Introduction to digital music studio production. Basics of digital audio and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) for use in composing and arranging in the project studio environment. Hands-on experience in small studio design and set-up, microphone and analog mixer techniques, MIDI recording and programming, and digital audio recording and mixing. May be taken two times for credit.
