This course will provide a brief introduction for students who are largely unfamiliar with computers. Computer Basics will introduce students to the very basic use of word processing and the management of fi les created. Students will learn how to write and send e-mail, search the Internet, and will become familiar with the variety of directories available on the desktop. A step-by-step approach will be used to give students the important computer skills needed for college course work. Students should report to the Speckman Tutoring & Learning Center to develop a course completion plan. Enrollment in this course is open until midterm.
