The goal of this course is to provide the student with the necessary skills to deploy and maintain a network system featuring, but not limited to, switches, routers, fi rewalls, RAS, and VPNs. Students will work with various routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and IGRP. This course also discusses TCP/IP and IPX/SPX protocols, and addressing for these protocols. Network topology and design, PPP, Frame Relay, and VLANs will also be discussed and implemented. Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or higher in NET 160 or permission of instructor. (MUS-NET)
