This course is designed to educate the student in aspects of emergency care required to qualify the student to write the certifi cation examination offered by the Missouri Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. The course consists of three components: classroom, clinical experiences, and an internship. Incorporated in these areas are the pre-hospital environment, systems assessment, trauma intervention, medical intervention, and obstetrics/pediatrics. Prerequisites: Selective Admission and students must be 18 years of age or older. ( Valid drivers license)
