This course is designed to give students in technical programs a background in applied algebra and trigonometry. Topics include basic algebraic expressions, ratio and proportion, trigonometric functions, solving right and oblique triangles, linear and quadratic equations, volumes and surface areas, operations with polynomials, graphing, and number systems. Prerequisite: Grade of "NC" or higher in MTH 070 (preferred), MTH 050, or MTH 055 or equivalent OR satisfactoryscore on the Mathematics Placement Assessment.
