Early Childhood This course is an introductory course that offers students a practical study of the emergent use of language and literacy development in young children. A study of children's literature and the role it plays in the development of literacy will be examined. The practicum component of this course requires copies of a physical, tuberculin (TB) skin test, and a Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) Screening (within the fi rst month).
