This course is an exploration of visual problem solving as it relates to the area of publication design. Students apply their knowledge of the basic principles of design to magazine covers, brochures, newspapers, and annual reports. It also covers all aspects of digital prepress, from planning, fi le management, fi le formats, scanning processes, color management, trapping, and prefl ighting your digital fi les for production. Prerequisite: GDT 120 or permission of instructor.
