This course is the fi rst half of a two-semester introductory biology sequence for biology majors and minors. It provides an introduction to the concepts of biological structure and function at the molecular and cellular level, genetics, and evolution. Laboratory experiences in the scientifi c method are performed. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate in the laboratory principles that are presented in lecture. Prerequisite: CHM 101 or CHM 111 or concurrent enrollment.
