This course provides preparation of ASN students for entry into nursing practice including a required preceptorship experience designed to promote independent critical thinking skills and to facilitate transition to professional nursing practice. A clinical preceptor will serve as a role model and a clinical resource person for 72 hours. The associated clinical component includes a preceptorship experience in community health, including public health and home health nursing. Prerequisites: ASN 200, 210, 215, 220, 225, 230, 235, and concurrently with ASN 240.
