Covers two major systems: fuel and ignition systems, and driveability and emissions. An understanding of the operation of these systems is essential to the successful maintenance and repair of most vehicles. Driveability describes the maintenance of a vehicle's performance. The technician must understand the complex network of electronic components that control the driving characteristics of the vehicle. Safety is emphasized.
