This course will focus on the current trend in law enforcement to attempt to create a better relationship with the community, and at the same time, reduce crime by helping to resolve some of the problems in the community which contribute to the causes of crime in a particular community. The required paradigm shift in the attitudes of traditional law enforcement officers to community policing will be discussed throughout the course.
