Prerequisite: PHYS 2114; Prerequisite or Corequisite: MATH 2413 3 CREDITS Students will demonstrate understanding of essential concepts in 20th century physics. Topics investigated include relativity, quantization, atomic models, quantum mechanics, atomic physics, statistical mechanics, and the current standard model of particle physics. Students solve problems using mathematical methods including ordinary differential equations. NOTE ? As part of the coursework, you may have the potential of being, to some degree, exposed to hazardous material.
