Prerequisite: (R) (W) (M), MU 1124 4 CREDITS This course is a continuation of MU 1124 Music Theory I. The student will develop additional skills in music theory through the study of the principles of harmonic progression, harmonization of bass and soprano lines, and the use of non-harmonic tones. Compositional analysis and original composition also will be emphasized. Correlated aural and keyboard application exercises will be an integral part of the course.
