Prerequisite: PRDT 1223 3 CREDITS Student will learn concepts associated with different manufacturing processes involved in the various productions of common products such as glass, rubber, steel and food products. Emphasis will be placed upon the role of the maintenance technician in keeping equipment functioning efficiently with preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance procedures. In addition to the basic manufacturing processes, students will understand the philosophy and methods associated with the industry "LEAN Manufacturing" processes as they apply to advanced manufacturing settings.
