Prerequisite: (R), (W), or by Evaluation 3 CREDITS Students will be given basic instruction in the skills of writing and analyzing screenplays. Students will produce examples of the type of writing on which the instruction is focused. This course will include the analytical breakdown of screenplay elements through script analysis of feature-length screenplays and short-form screenplays. Students will synthesize their knowledge and skills learned in class, and problem-solve by writing "coverage" of student class projects--and by writing multiple short-form screenplays, culminating in a screenplay for a Capstone Project. They will also create a step-outline for a feature-length motion picture.
