Prerequisite: Pre or Corequisite: ENGL 1113 or Evaluation by Instructor Students will survey the history of Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on early African empires, the advance of colonial empires, colonization, and de-colonization. Course materials include textbooks, novels, and films that related to the histories of the African peoples. This course will emphasize writing, discussion, and presentation skills. Student assignments will be submitted electronically.
