Prerequisite: (R) (W) (M), CS 1103 3 CREDITS Students will learn to install, configure and troubleshoot several versions of the Windows operating system and the hardware these operating systems run on. A foundational knowledge in the following important areas will be developed using a combination of lectures and interactive activities: identifying Windows desktop components; identifying hardware components; procedures for installing software and hardware; networking capabilities of the Windows operating system and steps to connect to a network; basic Internet protocols and terminologies and the procedures for establishing an Internet connection; and recognizing common problems and the procedures to resolve them.
