Prerequisite: (R) (W) 2 CREDITS The student will learn the standard ethical theories and apply them to various issues that arise in the health care context, such as euthanasia, abortion, informed consent, confidentiality, genetic testing and intervention, AIDS, distributive justice, and professional gatekeeping. Emphasis will be made on understanding the relationship of current ethical standards in health care delivery.
