The structure and function of bacteria, viruses and fungi will be explored. The diversity of the microbial world and their role in the environment will also be explored. Students will master basic laboratory techniques in microbiology and have an opportunity to perform some of the more advanced molecular techniques. Prerequisite: BIO 250 or permission of instructor.
