This course develops the skills of IV access, medication administration, general pharmacology, and drug classifications. The techniques of history taking, physical exam, patient assessment, and therapeutic communications will be developed. Lab Fee Prerequisites: Currently Louisiana licensed and National registered as EMT-Basic or Intermediate or permission of instructor, BIOL1010 and BIOL 1020 or their equivalents with a "C" or better and eligibility for ENGL1010 and DEVM 0940. Corequisite: EMTP1200
