(2.0 hours) An introduction to the plant kingdom, structure, physiology, life histories, economic importance, and the evolution of plants. Laboratory will include experimentation and observation to verify and enhance classroom lecture and recitation. Three one-hour lecture recitation periods and two two-hour laboratory periods per week. Prerequisite: BI 1323 & 1332, or consent of instructor. Corequisite: BI 1603
