(2.0 hours) A study of atomic and molecular structure, bonding, chemical equations, stoichiometry, gases, solutions, and an introduction to organic chemistry. Three one-hour lecture periods and two twohour laboratory periods per week. Prerequisite: MT 1403 (or higher) or placement score to enter MT 1605 and either CH 1103 & 1112 or two years high school chemistry. Corequisite: CH 1303
