(3 Credit Hours) A lecture/lab with a performance base. Students will gain fundamental knowledge in acting. Three significant acting techniques will be examined and practiced: Stanislavski System, Meisner Approach, and other acting techniques. Two areas of concentration, internal and external, will be utilized to become in touch with one's acting instrument: the mind, the body, and the voice. The tools of acting will be studied along with a historical perspective. Acting activities will be practiced resulting in performance.
