Develops essential medical and surgical knowledge and skills needed to provide nursing care to clients with respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, metabolic and endocrine dysfunctions throughout the adult life cycle. Utilization of critical thinking, therapeutic communication, and the Neuman Systems Model is used through implementation of the nursing process. Health promotion and disease prevention will be addressed. Prerequisite: NUR 112 with a grade of C or better. Corequisite: HSC 201 and NUR 210.
