Prerequisite: None This course will emphasize the special needs of the pregnant, then lactating mare, and the care of her offspring. Topics will include: horse reproduction, parturition, nutrition, health maintenance, facilities, caring for the colt, equine safety, and foot care. Three hours lecture/discussion a week.
