An overview of environmentally responsible building and a historical survey of building methodologies. Introduces design concepts and strategies related to the mitigation of environmental impacts. Examines building processes, environmental issues and the interdependent nature of our built environment. Topics include human impacts, climate and geography, sustainability, renewable energies, water use and energy, resource efficiency, building materials, indoor air quality and waste reduction.
