A course designed to provide the foundations for teaching mathematics on the elementary level. Selected topics will include the origin of numerals and systems of numeration, sets and relations, and the structure and properties of the systems of the whole numbers, the integers, the rational numbers, and the real numbers. Prerequisite: 1) Satisfaction of college admission requirement for mathematics, or 2) Completion of MATH 0123 or MATH 0125 with grade of "C" or better. OSRHE Matrix: MA 302
