(Prerequisite: Completion of (or test score validated exemption from) all required developmental courses in English, reading, and elementary algebra with a grade of "C" orbetter.) This introductory lecture/laboratory course is intended for students seeking a degree in nursing or other health related fields who need only four hours of chemistry. Topics from inorganic, organic, and biochemistry will be covered, making connections to medicine and the human body when appropriate. The laboratory portion of the course is designed to reinforce concepts from lecture and to introduce a variety of different laboratory techniques. Note: This course does not fulfill the general education science requirement for an Associate of Arts degree.
