(Prerequisite: RESP 1224 Basic Assessment and Diagnostics, RESP 1243 Pulmonary Diseases.) This course is designed to investigate areas where Respiratory Therapists may be employed, other than the hospitals. The respiratory therapist's role in home care, pulmonary function labs, sleep lab, education, discharge planning, smoke cessation and pulmonary rehabilitation will all be investigated. (Only offered in the fall).
