This course will provide students with an elemental understanding of color theory and design applications. The course of study guides the student in the development of a rational as well as an intuitive sense of color, through an informed practice of seeing, mixing and applying color in design problems. The development of an appropriate vocabulary, presentation practice, written and verbal evaluations, as well as outside research pertaining to color usage will be required. Upon completion, students should have insight into basic color theory and personal color preferences. Pre-requisite: ART 1433. 6 hours lab
