(30 lecture hours, 30 lab hours, 30 other hours, 4 credits) Prerequisite: Admission into professional nursing program. Focuses on assisting the LPN to transition into a new role as an Associate Degree Nursing Student. Emphasis will be placed on roles and responsibilities of the ADN, nursing process, critical thinking, legal and ethical issues and nursing practice issues related to specialized skills and the care of special populations. The clinical focus will be care of the pediatric and obstetric client. Added Fall 2007.
