This course will cover the development and philosophy of criminal justi ce in a democrati c society and an introducti on to agencies involved in the administrati on of criminal justi ce. Discussion will include the goals of the police, history of the criminal justi ce system, how the system functi ons within the context of government to protect individual rights as well as Consti tuti onally imposed restricti ons on the system. This is a three credit hour course.
