The primary objective of the course is to develop the student's competency in communicating through the spoken medium. Students will engage in conversation and role playing at a formality level appropriate to their language knowledge. Class may also meet in real settings; such as, a restaurant, a hospital, a Hispanic neighborhood, etc. Emphasis on idiomatic expressions used in daily speech, pronunciation, and vocabulary building. Prerequisites: Grade of "C" or better inSPN 202 or concurrent enrollment or permission of instructor.
