3 cr, 3 lec This course examines the variety of correctional programs for juvenile offenders who have been adjudicated delinquent. Juvenile probation and community-based corrections programs including day treatment centers, intermediate sanctions, boot camps, and home confinement are studied. Institutional confinement in secure and non-secure facilities is studied. Issues of placement and management of juvenile offenders in adult correctional settings are also addressed.
